Boston Hotel Steam Boiler

A major Boston hotel needed to have the high pressure steam boiler that served their laundry operations replaced when the original unit failed state inspection. The original boiler, located in the subbasement of the building had been moved into place during major renovation work that was part of the conversion of the building to a hotel in 1980. Floors and walls installed as part of the original construction work made replacement much more complicated. USI solved the problem by finding a boiler manufacturer that offered a boiler whose components could be moved to the subbasement in the existing freight elevator and then assembled in place.
